Privacy Policy

This policy explains the information handled when you play the flypee browser game and Android versions 1.4.0, 1.5.0 and 1.5.1 (com.motivaatiomonttu.flypee, version codes 6, 7 and 8), plus earlier versions 1.3 (com.flypee.game, version code 4) and 1.3.1 (com.motivaatiomonttu.flypee, version code 5) or contact Motivaatiomonttu.
Versions covered: the browser game and Android 1.3, 1.3.1 and 1.4.0 have no advertising SDK. Android 1.5.x adds Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). The advertising section below applies to that Android version. No separate gameplay-analytics SDK has been added.
Information stored on your device
The game uses your browser’s local storage to save your best result: points, enemies eliminated, time survived in seconds, and the date and time of that result. Earlier versions may have saved up to ten results; the current game displays a single high score and keeps one result when saving a completed run. The device-only high-score record contains no player name or account identifier. If you use the online leaderboard, additional information is stored as described below.
These results are used to show your high score on this device. The device-only high score is not synchronized between devices or website addresses. Completed runs are also sent to the online leaderboard when you have chosen a nickname and have a connected player account.
During play, the game also processes aiming positions, touch/mouse/keyboard inputs, current scores, elapsed time, bonus states, and the sound setting in working memory to run the game. The game code does not upload these inputs. Sound is generated on the device; the game does not record your microphone.
Online leaderboard in the web game and Android 1.4.0 / 1.5.x
Reading the rankings sends requests to Supabase. When you save a nickname, the game creates or reuses an anonymous Supabase account with a unique player ID. No email address or password is requested. Your browser stores the account session (including authentication tokens) and nickname so the game can recognize you on the same browser. Anonymous here means no email login; the persistent player ID still identifies your account.
Saving your profile stores the player ID and nickname and, when enabled, an optional country/region code you choose. The country is not inferred from GPS or IP address. After each completed online Story or Swarm Madness run, the game sends your player ID, nickname, optional chosen country/region code, points, enemies eliminated, survival time, game mode and game-version label to Supabase. The server records a result identifier and creation time. Rankings display each player's best score for today (the viewing browser's local day), the last seven days or all time. Story and Swarm Madness have separate rankings. Swarm Madness records points and survival time; its enemies-eliminated field is sent as zero and is not displayed. Existing test results may still be present.
Nicknames, chosen country flags, scores and rankings are public. The leaderboard API also makes stored result records, player IDs, timestamps and run statistics available to readers. Use a nickname rather than your real name. Do not enter contact details or sensitive information. The game does not upload aiming coordinates or a recording of your play.
Supabase processes authentication, profile and result data to provide the leaderboard, along with technical request data such as IP addresses and browser information for delivery and security. See Supabase's Privacy Policy. We have not verified the project's configured hosting region or provider log-retention periods. No claim is made here that data is processed only in your country.
You can play without online scores using the option in the nickname dialog. Clearing this website's browser data removes the local session and nickname and may permanently disconnect you from your anonymous account; it does not delete already submitted server records. There is currently no account recovery or cross-device sign-in in the game.
Online profiles and results remain until removed by the developer, including test-data resets, or following an applicable deletion request. To request access, correction or deletion, contact monttumotivaatio@gmail.com and include the player ID shown in Settings. Do not send authentication tokens. Changing the nickname or country applies to future submissions; earlier result records may retain the nickname used when submitted.
Android versions 1.4.0, 1.5.0 and 1.5.1
The app bundles the game, images and music locally. It has internet permission to provide the Supabase leaderboard described above. It stores the anonymous session, nickname, optional country and separate Story and Swarm best scores in the app’s WebView storage. Rankings and online score submission require internet; gameplay can run offline. Android 1.5.x includes Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google UMP for consent choices; Android 1.4.0 does not. No separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK is included, and no location, microphone, camera or contacts permission is requested. App backup is disabled. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes local data and may disconnect your anonymous account; it does not remove submitted results. For server data deletion, contact us using the player ID shown in Settings. External links open your browser or email app.
Earlier Android versions 1.3 and 1.3.1
The Android game bundles its game files and this policy inside the app and works offline. It has no internet permission, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, account, or permissions for location, camera, microphone or contacts. Gameplay data and high scores stay in the app’s local WebView storage. App backup is disabled. Clear the app’s storage in Android settings or uninstall it to delete these records. Earlier Android releases may retain a separate legacy local score list; clearing app storage removes that too.
The app does not send gameplay information to Motivaatiomonttu. If you follow an external policy link or contact link, your browser or email application opens and its own information practices apply. Google Play and Android may process download, installation, diagnostics or store activity independently under Google’s policies and your device settings.
Website delivery and security
This section applies when visiting the public website or external web links, not to playing the bundled Android game offline.
The website is hosted through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. Loading the game sends ordinary web requests to this infrastructure. Those requests disclose your IP address, requested URL, request time and technical browser/device information, such as the user-agent and any referrer your browser sends. The hosting providers may process request logs and security signals to deliver the site, prevent abuse and maintain reliability.
The hosting infrastructure may set security cookies, including Cloudflare’s __cf_bm bot-management cookie. These are separate from the game’s local high-score storage. There are no advertising or gameplay-analytics cookies added by the current game code. Infrastructure retention and processing are governed by the providers’ policies; Motivaatiomonttu does not set or verify their log-retention periods.
For provider information, see OpenAI’s Privacy Policy, Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy and Cloudflare’s cookie information.
Support messages
If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond and handle your request. Messages are handled through Gmail; see Google’s Privacy Policy. Please do not include sensitive information that is unnecessary for your request.
Advertising and privacy choices in Android 1.5.x
Google AdMob provides full-screen advertisements after every fourth completed run when an ad is available. In Story mode, you can choose to watch a rewarded ad for one continuation per run. Rewarded continuation is not offered in Swarm Madness. The app stores a local completed-run counter and an opaque last-run token to prevent duplicate counting. These do not contain your nickname or game score.
Google describes its advertising SDK as collecting and sharing IP addresses (which may indicate approximate location), interactions such as launches, taps and video views, technical performance diagnostics, and device or account-related identifiers such as advertising and app set IDs. These support ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. What is processed depends on your choices, device settings and the ad configuration. The game does not request GPS location. See Google's Mobile Ads data disclosure and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
UMP checks privacy-choice requirements when the app opens and displays a form when required. The app requests ads only when UMP permits requests; this does not mean every ad is personalized. Where UMP requires it, Privacy choices is available in the game's footer to revisit your choices. Declining an optional rewarded ad does not prevent playing. If ads cannot load, the game remains playable. Google manages consent records through its SDK; see Google's Privacy Policy for processing, retention and privacy controls. Android settings also provide advertising-ID controls.
No separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK is included. The advertising SDK's own measurement and diagnostic processing still applies. Motivaatiomonttu does not send your Supabase player ID, nickname, country choice or leaderboard score as an AdMob custom parameter. Ad-provider processing can take place outside your country under Google's applicable arrangements.
Sharing, purposes and security
Motivaatiomonttu does not sell game results or upload them for advertising. Online leaderboard records are shared publicly for ranking purposes as described above. Website delivery and support involve the service providers described above. Those providers may process information outside your country under the arrangements described in their policies. Information may also be disclosed where legally required.
Local results, game inputs and the optional online account and rankings are used to provide the game and leaderboard you choose to use. Technical request processing supports delivery and security; support messages are used to respond to you. Where applicable, these purposes rely on providing the requested service and legitimate interests in operating a reliable service and answering enquiries. Advertising-related consent choices for Android 1.5.x are described above; you can revisit them through Privacy choices where available.
The public game and this page use HTTPS to protect information in transit. Local high scores are stored in your browser and are accessible to someone with access to that browser profile. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Retention and deletion
- Local results: remain until replaced by a new result, removed by the browser, or deleted by you. To delete them, open your browser’s settings for this website and clear its stored site data. This resets the saved high score. Data saved under an older game address must be cleared for that address separately.
- Temporary gameplay state: is not saved as a gameplay history and is discarded when the page is closed or reloaded.
- Support correspondence: is retained as needed to handle the enquiry and any associated legal obligations. You may contact us to request deletion.
- Hosting and security data: is retained under the hosting providers’ practices linked above.
Your choices and privacy rights
The web leaderboard uses anonymous player accounts. You can clear local data using browser settings and request deletion of online account and result data using the contact details above. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict or object to processing, request portability, withdraw consent where applicable, and complain to a data protection authority. Contact monttumotivaatio@gmail.com about information handled by Motivaatiomonttu. We cannot retrieve locally stored results from your device.
Children and changes
The current web game does not request age or contact details. Players who choose online scores use a nickname and an anonymous player account. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
We will update this page when the game’s information practices change, including before introducing advertisements or analytics. The date above identifies this policy’s latest revision.
